FAQs

How do I book an appointment?

You can call us to book, or you can use our 24/7 online booking system on the contact us page.

Where are you based?

We are now at our brand new location, Becketts Farm, Heath Farm, Alcester Road, Wythall, B47 6AJ. We are located just off the Alcester Road bypass, opposite the entrance for the Restaurant.

Is there any parking?

Yes, loads, and its unlimited! You can park anywhere on the Becketts Farm site!

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

Due to Covid-19 guidelines we are unable to provide magazines so if you wanted any reading material you could bring that. We are also unable to offer drinks at this time, so a bottle of water in your bag for longer appointments may be useful.  All clients are requested to wear a mask during their appointment so please wear one to your appointment. If you are fancying a change and have been looking through Pinterest for ideas, bringing photos in may help you explain what you're after.

I'm having my colour done, do I need to do anything before my appointment?

No, as long as you have been for your skin test at least 48 hours before your appointment you are fine, a stylist may be in touch about arranging a consultation if its a colour change, which is a 10 minute chat to talk you through the process and to find out realistic outcomes of colouring your hair.

We advise you to wear older clothes that doesn't sit on your neck, this allows us to carry out the colouring with limited risk of getting colour on your clothing.

Do I need to wash my hair before my appointment?

It depends on what you are having done, if it's a Cut or a blow-dry then no, we will wash your hair for you straight away.

If it's a colour service your hair needs to be free from products and not greasy, but doesn't need to be freshly washed.

If you are having extensions fitted your hair will need to be freshly washed without conditioner.

If you are having a hair up, your hair needs to be washed the evening before your appointment, if you are somebody that doesn't usually go that long without washing your hair then you may wash your hair on the day but please don't use conditioner.

How far in advance should I book?

If you have a specific date in mind, we recommend booking as soon as possible. If you are on limited availability and can only do evenings and weekends we recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance. Although we always try to accommodate any bookings. If you are more flexible often 1-2 weeks in advance is ample time.

How long will my colour last before it needs redoing?

This completely depends on the colour you have gone for and what your natural hair is like. The best advice would be from your stylist, who can advise you on this. We offer complimentary consultations for our colouring services.

I'm not keen on my hair, what should I do?

Sometimes this may be the case, we've asked for something new and it's hard to get used to or we really just don't like the result. If this is the case, we really would prefer for you to tell us so we can help you achieve another look you prefer. Please just give us a call!

I'm having my colour done, do I need a skintest?

Yes definitely, if you're a new client or you haven't been to have your colour done in over 6 months, we must skin test 48 hours before your colour appointment. We may repeat this test throughout the year following industry guidelines. The test takes seconds and is a small amount of colour placed behind your ear to test for any reaction to our products.
